How to Reach Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli

From Sangli Bus Stand / MSRTC Bus Station

• The distance from Sangli bus stand to WCE is about 5 km by road.

• Travel time (by taxi / private vehicle) is approximately 8–10 minutes, depending on traffic.

• You can hire an auto-rickshaw from the bus stand directly to the college.

• You may also find local shared autos or city buses heading toward Vishrambag area; you should ask for drop-off near Vishrambag Circle or Pai Prakash / Vishrambag Bus Stop, which are among the closer stops to the institute.

• From the drop-off, you may have a short walking distance (few hundred meters) to reach the campus.

From Sangli / Miraj Railway Station

There are a few railway stations in the vicinity; the convenience depends on which station you arrive at.

• Sangli Railway Station (SLI) is about ~3 km from WCE.

• Miraj Junction (MRJ) is about 5 km from WCE.

• Vishrambag Railway “station / haltis even closer — WCE is about 800 m from Vishrambag railway stop.

• From whichever station you arrive, you can take an auto-rickshaw to the college. The fare is modest for this short-distance trip.

• For example, from Sangli railway station, a taxi would take perhaps 7–10 minutes depending on traffic.

• From Miraj, similarly, a local taxi or cab would be available to bring you to the college.
